Boudoir is a celebration of you. As a woman, I understand the feeling of not liking what you see in the mirror. There is an image in our heads of what we should look like, and we feel in adequate in our journey towards that “ideal” woman. BUT, our bodies tell a story of who we are, where we have been, and where we can go. There can be stretch marks and loose skin on your belly. The laugh lines, wrinkles, and the color of your hair. Freckles, moles, weight, scars, tan lines, and more – all of it make up part of your story. Embracing that story and letting me capture it in a way that is tangible, empowering and fun is an experience of a lifetime!
It is SUPER nerve wracking to majority of women when thinking about posing in lingerie in front of a camera. But when my clients see the photos, they can’t believe that it’s them! Through posing, we are going to highlight every aspect of your beauty and body parts that you are most proud of. You will truly feel like a queen for a day. Many women have busy schedules and they forget how it feels to be pampered and feel recklessly beautiful.
So I urge you, rebel against your everyday routine, take time for yourself and the things that will make you feel good. Don’t feel guilty about scheduling a boudoir shoot for yourself. When you take care of your mind, body, and soul, the people in your life benefit as well. If you give yourself this kind of treat, you will remember that you feeling great is the most important. When you walk out after our shoot is over – you’re going to feel like the queen we all know you are!
Boudoir photos are a unique gift for yourself or your spouse. Many of my sessions are brides looking to gift albums as wedding day presents. Can you imagine your boo looking at those photos? Their jaws will DROP! If you’re doing this for you – picture yourself looking back on these photos when you’re older and realizing how beautiful you carried yourself in your younger years. These will be photos for you to enjoy in your whole lifetime! Boudoir can also be a milestone celebration like finally accepting who you are, a period before or after being mom, getting out of a relationship, or starting fresh – we’ve seen it all. It is a perfect way to treat yourself regardless of the intention.
Capturing intimate, sexy, flattering, and sometimes naughty photographs can be a rediscovery of your feminine energy. Feminine Energy refers to a specific set of traits, considered to be the opposite of traits associated with masculine energy. Your masculine side gets expressed when you’re working toward a goal, making progress, getting things done, and pushing forward. All things that bad-ass women are doing on the daily!
Your feminine side gets expressed when you move with the flow of life, embrace your creative energy, dance, play, and attune to your internal process. These things aren’t getting much attention in the life of a busy woman. Tuning into your feminine energy is a change that you might not even know you needed!
