As a wedding photographer, I’m always on the lookout for adventurous couples who want to do something truly unique for their special day. That’s why when I met Sam and Joey and they told me about their wedding at the Mohican State Park Treehouse village, I knew we were going to be a great fit.
The day was warm for March, BUT we battle drizzling rain off and on all day – even a thunderstorm that took out all of the power in the reception building! But it wasn’t just the weather that made this wedding day special. Sam and Joey incorporated so many personal touches into the day, from the handmade wooden signs to the elegant floral arrangements that adorned the treehouse. The leather pieces from Joey’s grandfather that were incorporated into the décor were just the cherry on top.
The reception was a total blast, with guests dancing the night away under the lights of the emergency lights and by candle-lit tables. It was clear that everyone was having an amazing time regardless of the power situation and I was thrilled to capture all of the fun and excitement.
As a photographer, I strive to not only capture beautiful images but to also connect with my clients on a personal level. That’s why I loved working with Sam and Joey – they were so fun and easygoing, in love and happy. It was clear that they were just meant to be together.
Overall, Sam and Joey’s wedding day was a total adventure, filled with love, laughter, and all the feels. It was an honor to be a part of such a special day, and I’m so grateful to have been able to capture these memories for them to cherish forever.
